My name is Gavin Culbertson and I serve the St. Louis area as a professional cinematographer.

I regularly work on independent films alongside other contracted video
projects such as live concerts and performances, church videos, and
documentaries.  I also work as a Certified Personal Trainer at Bally
Total Fitness, and a projectionist at the Saint Louis Science Center’s
Omnimax Theater.

My work experience has covered the gamut of all elements of production including planning, camera work and editing.

I enjoy making my own equipment. I have designed and assembled versatile lens systems and grip equipment.

I achieved a B.A. in Film Production from Webster University in 2008, including a semester abroad in Shanghai, China.

I am familiar with all types of shooting including smooth steady-cam and dolly, handheld tv-zooms and quick-cutting music video styles.  The technical versatility that I can bring to shooting makes me a valuable asset to any production.
